McLaughlin finished with 89 total yards on 12 touches and now has 193 on 22 over his past two games. He’s tied for the team lead with three touchdowns, fifth on the team in scrimmage yards (206) overall and is averaging 7.1 per touch. Not bad for an undrafted free agent.Pat Surtain IIRarely is it good when players’ parents tweet during blowout losses, but it’s difficult to argue with Patrick Surtain Sr.’s sentiment during the Miami game that PS2 deserves better. Second half of the historic loss to the Dolphins aside, he’s playing really well. On Sunday, Jets No. 1 Garrett Wilson didn’t do much against Surtain — the one time he had a step down the sideline, Zach Wilson threw the ball out of bounds. When Denver really needed a stop, the All-Pro corner came up with a pick. And yet, the unit as a whole has been the worst in football by a ...

By Emily Weinstein, The New York TimesYou need recipe basics the same way you need wardrobe basics: the pair of jeans or white shirt that you can easily throw on, items that mix and match with other things or stand alone. The baked fish below from Ali Slagle is just that: a streamlined dish that’s simple to make and goes with just about any seasoning or side. (The other four recipes are just downright delicious.)Baked Tilapia. Tilapia is great for picky eaters because it’s mildly flavored and sweet — not fishy at all. Food Stylist: Simon Andrews (David Malosh, The New York Times)1. Baked TilapiaTilapia has a flaky texture and a sweet, mild taste, so it welcomes assertive seasonings. This baked, sheet-pan recipe coats the fish with butter, lemon, garlic and parsley, but feel free to switch up the flavor as you like; paprika, Old Bay, ginger, lime and tarragon would all be great. Keep in mind that there are environmental issues around tilapia farming, so use resources such as Seafood ...

SANTA CLARA — All eyes were on Brock Purdy’s surgically repaired elbow, and no eyes were on Nick Bosa. It was two months ago at training camp, and the 49ers were preparing to stage their NFL coup.Purdy’s elbow was responding remarkably well, albeit with daily interceptions that reporters obsessively tracked.
